This national park allows visitors to experience the nature and culture of Tohoku while overlooking the Zao Mountain Range.
Michinoku Park is the only state-owned park in the Tohoku region that is made up of four zones with rich stories and themes based on the basics of recreation, taking advantage of rich nature.
In the center of the culture and water zone (south district), Aya no Hiroba boasts 100,000 flowers, and in the flower garden, poppies and cosmos shine on the backdrop of the Zao mountain range. In autumn, the village trees and Kokia are also beautifully colored. Furusato Village can see old houses that have been relocated from Tohoku, Tono, Minamiaizu, etc., and its main theme is “culture” that emphasizes the Tohoku character and “water” that nurtures human life.
