A mountain sightseeing road that connects Yu Onsen and Tsuyutoen with a total length of about 29 km and a maximum altitude of 1,622 m. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the cityscape of Fukushima that runs like sewing the Azuma mountain range. It has been selected as one of the 100 best roads in Japan, and offers a variety of magnificent and varied scenery from the “Snow Corridor” in spring to the autumn leaves.
Jododaira is 1,600 meters above sea level and has a visitor center in Bandai Asahi National Park where you can enjoy hiking while watching the rough volcanic landforms and alpine plants. Climbing Kyoyama for about 3 hours round-trip, you can look down at Azuma Goshikinuma, also known as “Witch's Eye”, from the beauty of the lake shining in cobalt blue.
